After a long anticipating wait, the Burberry Menswear Spring/Summer 2015 show was held today at Kensington Gardens.
A reoccurring theme in the collection contained a lot of typographic print and illustration, which was hand painted onto cashmere, cotton jersey and leather used for the shirts, shoes and satchels which all look amazing! The colour-scheme for the show contained a lot of faded green, antique red, indigo, washed yellow and aged russet. The main choice of materials used for the collection included Denim, Lightweight cashmere, linen, cotton, and nubuck. These were well chosen as they will keep you cool during summer but are great to be layered up!
My favorite piece from the collection is the cashmere duffle coat jacket featured on the 3rd image. I love the colour and style of the coat and would look great on a spring/summer walk to brighten up your outfit and keep yourself warm in the stereotypical British weather. From the collection I also really like the colourful field sneakers in cutout leather, nylon and mesh which fit in really nicely to the current trend of trainers.
Overall, the outfits shown at the event were superb. All the variety's of trench coats were fresh and current. The accessories gave the overall looks that extra touch, such as the sunglasses, notebooks, fluorescent hats and scarfs. The whole venue was amazing and the night seemed to be a success.
The outfits featured on the runway are available online until the 24th of June. Each piece is handmade to order and can be personalized with a bespoke nameplate
